Travel warning for Samui Island 1000 people stranded

There is a travel warning for Samui it will be flooded for a few more days.
Rain is expected to continue for a few more days and then there will be no flights out from the island and that means you will be stuck.

Some of the islands most popular areas are still under 70 cm of water and 1000 people stranded in the small airport. The damage to the south islands in Thailand was estimated to cost about 100 million THB.

The islands of Samui have been heavily over built since after the Tsunami hit Phuket and people thought that Saumi would be a better option.

But Saumi has always have flood and the last year encroachment of the islands mountains have not helped the situation.
