DEA push Thai police to stop Iranian push drugs on Samui

The Thai police have caught 30 people selling 10 kg of cocaine and other drugs in the Island of Samui and the full moon party.

As usual the US drug agency located in Thailand was the one that alerted the Thai police something was going on. How the Thai police could “miss” the drug gang for many years is a big mystery for everybody expect people living in Thailand. A few months ago the Thai police chief for that area was transferred since he could not keep order and prevent crime.

The gang led by an Iranian named Shahriar Zarghamzade aged 38, alias Ramin Ahmani had his yacht, club, house and assets worth 100 million THB seized by the police.

Some other nationalities was several Africans, two Turks and a British citizen they will all be serving very long sentences in prison in Thailand after this.

The police then went on and told press that they would continue the crackdown (that they never started) and wanted to promote the islands as drug free destinations. Maybe they should start with something more easy to handle like Ko Samed and not the Full Moon Party.
