Once again Thailand has shown to be a very bad place to hide if you are a wanted criminal. A finish man wanted by Interpol was arrested last week in Pattaya (Why do they all hide here?).
The Finish man is wanted for doing a one of Finland’s biggest Pyramid scams and has been on the run for a long time. When he came on Interpol list of wanted people he was arrested in Thailand. People that benefited from the scam and were in the close circle of friends have according to online sources bought houses and apartments in Pattaya as well. They are now said to be moving away from Thailand selling of their assets very quick, so if you stumble upon a Finish man wants to sell of his property in Thailand bargain a lot.
Thailand is not known for ask why a person should be deported, if the crime comes from a EU state Thailand mostly just hand the “criminal” over. The problem is that you will be black listed in Thailand even if you are not convicted in your own country later.
If you know that Interpol or FBI is after you and you want to return to Thailand in the future it is better to go out from Thailand to face the charges then stay and get black listed. It is just a matter of days before the Thai police will come knocking on your door.
