Phetchaburi in Thailand province of Cha Am Island

Phetchaburi (often embryonic Phet’buri) is one of the inland provinces of Thailand. In the west it borders Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar. It is locally avowed by Thais as Muang Phetch. Its terrains throughout the western border, where Tanaosri Range lies as a everyday side between Thailand and Myanmar, are gargantuan compacted jungles. In the east, there is an 80-kilometer long coastline towards the Gulf of Thailand. Phetchaburi had been given several names such as, Phripphri, Phripphli or Phetchaphli. The province is subdivided into 8 districts which are Mueang Phetchaburi, Khao Yoi, Nong Ya Plong, Cha – am, Tha Yang, Ban Lat, Ban Laem and Keang Kachan, which are further subdivided into 93 communes and 681 villages.
