Nan is the realm located in the great valley of the Nan River, surrounded by mountains ulterior with forests. To the north and east it borders Xaignabouli of Laos. It is a calm province, with rice and end product improvement array across the wide Nan river valley and high mountains to the east and west, where Thai Lue and other hill tribes’ population dwells, which provide the foundation of the warmth and welcome you will find here. 10.5% of the population belongs to the hill tribes. The province is subdivided in 15 districts. These are further subdivided into 99 sub districts and 848 villages.

Nan is one of the oldest areas in northern of Thailand like of Sukhothai tempo which Nan has innumerable Kings administrate about 59 dynasties.
