The government is asking the Internet Café in Thailand to close down the business for two weeks from Monday but they let the pubs and discos to be open. I do not see how that will work, in Pattaya most of the new cases of the Swine flue came from a disco. A hot crowded places where nobody know if you are sick or not is a prefect place to spread the flue. Internet cafés is making less money then a disco and will be hit hard if they have to close down. Its better that they give ask everyone inside to have face-masks and clean the computer after each user.
If the Thai government want to do some thing about the Swine flue it should do it in the same time and then do like Mexico, close down almost everything for a week. Not just target the internet cafés that always is a easy target for the politicians‘. Nobody in power owns a internet café but plenty of people in power owns pubs and discos.

That’s why they won’t be closed down – there’s too much money being made by the police to shut down pubs/bars/restaurants for a long period. Internet cafes/private schools are easy targets and they don’t lose money if they’re shut.
