Do’s and Don’t in Thailand part 1 The royal family

In our effort to teach you some manners and how to behave when in Thailand we listed some easy rules that the Tourism in Thailand has given out (TIT). We will start off with the Royal family since yesterday it was HMK 79 Birthday (5 December).

From TIT: The Monarchy : Thai people have a deep, traditional reverence for the Royal Family, and a visitor should be careful to show respect for the King, the Queen and the Royal Children.

This includes waiting to walk or cross the street if there motor caravan is coming. Your BTS also have to stop if they passing under you. Do not try to joke about and walk anyway you can get arrested or even shoot it have happened. The people that shot you will be declared hero’s and if you survive will put in front page of the magazine and arrested. Please also remember to stand up when in a cinema before the movie start, just follow everyone else. And if you happen to be in a park around 18.00 just stay still until the music stops.
We at Personal Thailand LOVE THE KING.
