People asking me all the time when is the best time to Travel to Thailand. Well it depends the season from November to January is most of the time very cool for this climate and in North Thailand we can even get frost. But then it is off course peak season and most of the good hotels are booked in Advance sometimes in 1 year in advance. I know many small hotels in Pattaya that are booked for 2 Christmas and New Year already and paid for as well.
The period from January to Mars can be very shifting but does not have much rain but it can be very dry and hot. If you travel to South Thailand it does not get that dry but Bangkok is really hot. The prices are still the same until the 15 of Mars but because of the new big holiday we have created here they go up during April. The Sonkran holiday is a crazy water fight festival that should not be missed if your are a tourist, locals like me vanishes in to the security of the house.
So actually the low season does not start until May now adays and it will end in the middle of October. You can get some rain in this period but there are loads of sunny days as well. It can be very humid and hot and just going outside the air con will make your skin flush with water to use plenty of deo. Most prices in Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi and Samui are cut to half or less and it is your market.
