The Bangkok Rock Festival 2007 has been cancelled. Bands and artist that should have been playing were among others Muse, The Prodigy, Snow Patrol, Damien Rice and Arctic Monkeys.
Riverman Asia Company yesterday announced the cancellation of the rock festival, saying that it would be hard to find sponsors for this big event with the virtual ban on alcohol advertising.
“Such a big event is going to cost more than Bt80 million because international rock stars will be part of this festival,” the company said.
Other big events such as Golf Masters in Phuket have also been canceled.
The ban with limited exceptions will take effect on December 3.
Most of the people that have a problem with alcohol with not bee affected since they drink moon shining or home made rice wine. And do not have money to buy a Magazine or Tv anyway.
