In Thailand the Credit Card boom has just started and people are using it to much. The banks have got spank by the government because 2 years everyone with a job paying over 15 000 THB a month could get a credit of over 100 000 THB.
What did they think would happen? Thai people are spenders and if they have money they will spend it. So money on credit card is money they have so lets spend it. Thai People can not handle credit cards they are not ready to and the banks are not ready on how to handle all the debts.
In UK and America they have credit records and they know how to handle people that come under credit cards debts and people are offering free credit report and other tools.
