Thailand declare total war against cigarettes from today

Thailand has taken a new step against smoking. From today you can no longer smoke in

public transport (Never seen one but I guess the boats have a lot of smokers)
bus stops (that’s a big problem many smokers there)
elevators (never seen anybody smoking in an elevator anyway)
public phone booths (well yes seen it but not a big problem)
libraries (the librarian going to kick the shit of you)
theatres (do they still do that?)
children’s playgrounds (well that’s a good one)
drugstores (always smoke when you buy your asthma medicine)
meeting rooms (what is a meeting room?)
massage parlours (who want to smoke when you in a bath with a girl?)
spas (how about the intents stick and the candles?)
indoor stadiums (have the never seen the movie old school?)
Schools & educational institutes (well that is a really good one hurray)

The old rules apply as well off course

Air-conditioned areas in art exhibition halls, galleries, museums, shopping malls, barbershops, Internet cafes and karaoke booths are also no-smoking zones.

The ban includes the lobbies of hotels, resorts, condominiums, apartments and restaurants, excluding entertainment areas.

But you can still smoke in personal offices, individual rooms or rooms provided as smoking areas.

If you caught smoking you will have to pay 2000 THB and if it is for example in a meeting room they have to pay 20 000 THB. So if you do not like the boss anymore please call 02-590-3342 and report yourself.

The press statement did not say who is going to catch all the smokers and who is going to catch all the smoking policemen. But if you see a police smoking please call 02-590-3342 and if you have a camera please send us the photo.
