The Thai police are really enforcing the les majeste laws in Thailand right now. Last person to be arrested is a woman that was the owner of a Thai forum. According to the police there was ales majeste “crime†on her forum for 20 days.
She has not posted the remark just some user that made a comment but since Thai law required her to moderate her website she is responsible.
The former speaker for UDD “the torpedo†is still denied bail and she lost 15 kilos in prison. She is denied bail over and over even if first degree murders and people with more intent to flee has been granted bail.
The Thai government with Prime Minister will soon try to see over the old law and see how to implementing it in Thailand’s new fragile democracy.

Arrest is possible for not respecting “high people” of some other Asian countries also, for example in India the new law says arrest for anybody who writes annoying things on emails (since it uses a computer, it becomes a cyber crime and investigation is state funded). The law is passed only recently and is in force, one of the first arrest cases is for causing a high court official to become annoyed and it is here:
