A Swedish man got his SUV blasted with six shots and not a single shot hit him.He was driving in Phuket when a black pickup truck stopped behind and fired six shots that all missed him by a few centimeters.
According to himself he is just a normal business man and the police first thought it was a drug related shooting later confirmed that the Swede has no association with that kind of business.
The police now think it’s a case of mistaken identity that they really were after a Thai man. It must been the blond hair and blue eyes that confused the hit man.
The police came out with a statement telling the press that the case would resolved quickly.
They are so confident to solve the shooting that they have 4 police man watching the Swede 24/7. To really push that they are confident to solve this case quick they also gave him a license to kill and a gun.
Now 1 week after the shooting the police is still confident to have the case solved but they went out with a reward of 50 000 THB just to be sure. They said that the Swede will foot the bill for the reward but he denies that.
According to the Swede Phuket is a nice to place stay and when they shoot people its not westerns. He also think the 3 shooting the last 6 month is nothing to worry about because its Thai shooting Thais.
The Phuket Police is known for always calming things down and not disturbs the tourist. According to the Phuket Police most off the killings are suicide and nothing to worry about. When asked about the over 100 dead Burmese fisherman found over the last 10 years outside Phuket shores the Police said that they still have not ruled out suicide as cause of death but the investigation is ongoing.
