The police have found that the singer in the band Burn started the fire and should be the one responsible for the fire in Santika. He started fireworks on stage and that started to burn the roof and spread quickly, so far killing 64 people.
The club manger is still at large and will be prosecuted for other offenses like letting in minors in the club and not having fire exits. The owners will probably be prosecuted for tax evasion as well.
The police was trying to make very clear that the singer was not a scapegoat but the real catch based on evidence.
Sometimes in Thailand police have been known for taking someone to blame for some high profile crime and later scapegoat commit suicide in jail.
Some Bangkok officials have also been moved around to inactive posts as is standard in Thailand.
