This weekend was a big Buddhist holiday and Thai people are flocking to the temple. There is also a big festival in Nong Khai for the Naga. But in Pattaya the rule of mammon is law and money, greed and corruption rules.
You might think that the bars and girls would stay home on a day like this but even on Sunday the Go Go bars screaming out live sex and Go Go shows to children and grown up alike.
I saw one Thai man stuff pictures of naked Thai girls in the face of an 8 year old boy and laugh asking the parents if they wanted to take the family on Sunday naked sex show.
Did the Thai police close down the bars on this Buddhist holiday? No
Was the Thai police out on the street outside the bars? Yes
Did the Thai police see anybody break the law? Yes probably hundreds of times.
For you that still think Pattaya is part of Thailand please get this silly idea out of your head and while you here in Thailand visit some other parts of this country.
