Japan wants to dump old stuff in Thailand, and here I thought old Japanese men just wanted young girls from the Tanya Street.

According to Kittikhun Kittiaram, a toxic campaigner from Greenpeace.

Thailand risks becoming a dumping ground for Japan’s electronic and toxic waste if it enters into a free trade agreement. It would enable Japan to send a huge amount of used products to Thailand _ especially electronic goods _ through the legal channel of recycling as the agreement will remove current import tariffs of 30%.

Negotiations on the Japan-Thailand Economic Partnership Agreement began in September last year.

The agreement was expected to be signed in April and effective in October this year. However, the agreement has been stalled since the Sept 19 coup.
