How to avoid being scammed visiting the Grand Palace in Bangkok.

When you arrive in a Taxi or Buss to the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Thailand then you will be attacked by punters trying to sell you stuff they also want to tell you that the Grand Palace is closed right now.

The plan they have is to trick you on a shopping trip when they got commission when you buy something in a costume or gem shop. They will not charge you for the tour (most of the time) and sure if you want to around Bangkok in a Tuk Tuk for a couple of house be my guest.

To get you in the Tuk Tuk they will flash an ID that looks very real and tell you that the Grand Palace is not closed for the day, they doing some renovation, they are having a ceremony or something else.

Sure sometimes the Grand Palace is closed but then the security office in the door will tell you make no mistake about that.

So just avoid all the offers and go straight to the door / gate and enjoy some very spectacular the Grand Palace of Bangkok.
