The new scheme from the Thai government to give free visa from the 5 of Mars is getting ice cold welcome on most fronts.
Most people think it would be better to just give a first free 3 month visa on arrival. Since trip to Thailand from Europe will cost you 50 000 THB anyway 1200 THB for a visa is not that much. But 3 month visas will encourage the tourists to stay longer and spend more money.
Its our conclusion that the free visa will have little or no affect all during this low season maybe the worse ever for many hotels around Thailand.
