Flash flood in north Thailand

The Meteorological Department of Thailand has warned of dangerous flash floods in part of Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen, Kalasin, Roi Et, Yasothon, Ubon Ratchathani, Surin and Buri Ram and in the north Chiang Rai.

To Travel north Thailand can be dangerous now and tourists and locals should be aware of that mud slides killed many people a few years ago.

If you can post pone your trip to other areas then do that until the flooding is over.

If you travel in Thailand during the rainy season you can many time see villages totally submerged and sometimes only the temple roof are viable on top of the water surface.

Many people have no money so they can not buy new land or move but have to stay in this flooded area year after year.
