Did you see the Coup in Thailand coming?
Seriously at 21.30 local time i was at Silom road at the fitness center i had no idea there was a coup. Everyone at the bars and shopping centers was acting normal. When i came home i saw all the messengers on MSN blinking like nuts and everyone was asking me what was going on in Thailand.
I had no idea so i had to grab something to eat and look at CNN and BBC but at 23.00 the new power in Thailand, Army chief General Sonthi Boonyaratglin turned off UBC as well. The Thai channels was off since 22.00. Now all the forums on the Internet went hey wild and people was speculating back and forward. But actually no one i know saw any military or had any problems with anybody. It was very quiet and peaceful. At around 02.00 people start understanding who and why there was a Thai coup and people start going to bed because noting more was going to happened. In media outside Thailand there was loads of gunshots and dead people but the fact is there was nothing going on at all.
