A Danish boy of 15 years old accidentally killed a 23 year old Chinese man when he was driving the Jet Ski he had rent on Cha Am beach 2 hours drive from Bangkok. The Chinese family demanded 500 00 DK from the Danish family but the Thai court settled the amount for 300 000 DK. The story has made headlines in Denmark since the Danish Insurance company refused to help and pay the compensation.
We can just point out once more that no business in Thailand taxi, boat, jet ski, plane or ferry should be allowed to operate without proper insurance for passengers and accident. In most tourist areas is impossible to rent a motorbike for example with insurance and every year people stand without protecting when an accident happen.
